Tommorow is a new day
I started this blog (my first one) in anger and disgust at the dishonesty, the manipulation, the lies, the deceit. I'm just a person who gets angry when these happen to me or to anyone else. I probally should become a judge or a lawyer :) No, I love my profession, helping children, consulting them. I think I chose correctly, even though that wasnt my first wish. Through high school I wanted to become a translator. But it just happened that when I had to chose college, we were about to join the EU, and the whole bunch of people wanted to become one as well. So I was out cuz the college could accept only few students. And then when I saw whats left, I saw pedagogics. Why not? I could study foreign languages by myself anyways and all my life I have friends from abroad. Canada, U.S, Ireland, U.K, Belgium, France,Germany, Italy even in Australia, Singapore and New Zeland. Yup, it would take me an entire year or even more to visit them all. I'm studying Italian now, well trying to. Have to have an occupation while Im waiting for a job. Well waiting is not the right word, Im looking but the situation right now is difficult, especially for us, youth. But as my mom always say; tommorow is a new day, so dont give up today.

Beginning of a journey
So today my blog saw the light of the world. One of the reason it is cuz blogging is on my bucket list, but also its easier for me to type than to write it with pen n paper into a book. So, today was a crappy day. Thought I'd finally get a job, even if its for 3 months, they even sent me to doc's exam. That should be proof that they want me. But it turned out diffreantly. My results came out well, doc said im appropriate for the job but the problem lies elsewhere. Its profit. They gaint no profit from me, eventhough Im perfect for the job. I studied education and I'd help children with special needs. Great for me but even more great for the children. Not that I brag about myself, but I gained some good results while I worked with children in the past.
Anyways to return to the reason why they wont hire me. Principals in schools are looking for people who are on welfare (!!???) because when they hire welfare is out and they get it. And of course young people hired like that, get lower pay check. To make a story short, they will probally hire someone with lower educational skills or with unappropriate skills to deal with children. And then the whole rotten country wonders why our children dont gain such educational standard as elsewhere in EU. Yeah really, why dont they?
I read very interesting article in newspaper as well. Slovenian educiation on the edge of criminal working. Agreed. Also a huge problem in Slovenia is discrimination. Especially people from former Yugoslavia. Its patetic if you know Slovenia was a former Yugoslavia also. Here its very important if your last name ends on - ić or -ič. Only one ' but its so important. For info: thousands of people whose last names ends on -ić were obligated to change their last name to even get a job. Hmmmm... maybe thats also case with me. Very likely. 10 % of all teachers in schools said they WOULDNT accept a child on -ić in their class. Lesar and Peček wrote about that problem. Why the hell wouldnt they? And of course I cant talk about discrimination and not mention 'erased'. When Slovenia gain its independance, we had to come clean if we wanted slovenian citizenship or not. So Slovenia erased more ten thousands of people from the register. No insurance, no health care, no possibility for education, jobs etc. In most cases they thorn whole families apart cuz they couldnt travel. That lasted for 20 years. Can you imagine? No health insurance and no job for 20 years? And now that its discovered and the court of human rights said that Slovenia must pay every individual for sufferings, our prime minister said NO money. Duuuuuhhhh. Who ordered people to be erased??? More about discrimination in Slovenia you can read on http://www.humanrightspoint.si/node/8#rd
Well you have to be positive even on crappy day as it is today. And goodnight everyone, will stay in touch and this time I promise I wont be too pessimistic.
